St Peter’s Heart offers educational choice for families whose children have diverse learning needs. Every student enrolled at St Peter’s Heart has an individual education plan developed in consultation with parents or caregivers. The individual education plans set long and short term learning goals for each student and outline strategies that will assist in achieving these goals.
St Peter’s Heart and St Peter’s Anglican Grammar together form an inclusive learning community. The concept of ‘a school within a school’ was integral to the establishment of St Peter’s Heart, offering a tailored learning environment with a differentiated curriculum to support students.
The model of ‘two schools – one learning community’ allows students to benefit from both specialised education and general learning experiences within a larger mainstream context. This approach provides a dynamic learning experience, where students have access to specialised staff and classrooms while also engaging in the activities and events of the wider school community.

St Peter’s Heart is centrally located within the grounds of St Peter’s Anglican Grammar. Students will have opportunities to participate in whole-school and sub-school events, such as assemblies, incursions, excursions, and camps. The shared playground and learning spaces promote a sense of unity, allowing students from both schools to celebrate their identity as one learning community while they ‘do life together.’
Each student will be supported so that they have every opportunity to grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically.
